Interesting list. As a filmmaker who made many visits there in production on the film Boogie Man, I believe Columbia had a huge influence on the life and career of Lee Atwater. From the statue of Ben Tillman at the State House, to the interracial crowds enjoying the mouth-watering barbecue at Piggy Park despite the defenses of slavery offered by its owner, from folks' incredible hospitality and friendliness in distinction to their blood-and-guts-on-the-floor campaign tactics, it's a fascinating and compelling place...
